What are my next steps?

In most cases you won’t need to do anything except change where you send your payment. See our payment options. You will receive a letter with a new account number before your account is converted to a Santander Consumer USA account.

If you are using a Bill Pay service, you will need to cancel the existing Bill Pay schedule that is set to send payments to Gateway One. Then, create a new Bill Pay schedule to send your payments to Santander Consumer USA. Account details needed to create a new Bill Pay schedule will be provided on your first statement.

If you currently utilize Gateway’s automatic bank draft to make your monthly payment, you do not need to take any action. Your regularly scheduled automatic payment has transferred to Santander.

If you do not currently have an Auto Pay schedule, you may set one up at Santander Consumer USA by enrolling at MyAccount.

I had automatic payments set up with Gateway One. Will those continue?

If you currently utilize Gateway’s automatic bank draft to make your monthly payment, you do not need to take any action. Your regularly scheduled automatic payment has transferred to Santander.

If you do not currently have an Auto Pay schedule, you may set one up at Santander Consumer USA by enrolling at MyAccount.

I elected paperless statements with Gateway One. Will that election continue?

If you were enrolled for paperless statements with Gateway One, Santander will honor your electronic communication preferences, however, your first Santander statement, will be printed and mailed to you.

I recently paid off my loan with Gateway One. When will I get my title?

You’ll need to speak to one of our customer service representatives about your title. The Title Department can be reached directly at 800.526.0157, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Central Time.

I tried signing up for MyAccount, but it didn’t recognize my account number. How can I pay online?

If you are unable to sign in at MyAccount using your new Santander Consumer USA account number, please contact us via telephone so that we may assist you. Please call us at 888.222.4227, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT, or Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT, and let us know you are a Gateway One customer trying to access MyAccount.

I recently sent Gateway One my payment. Will Santander Consumer USA receive that payment?

Payments received by Gateway One during the servicing transition will be forwarded to Santander Consumer USA, which may delay posting by a few days but will be effective as of the date received by Gateway One.
