I am getting a message indicating that “account was not created” when I attempt to set up my account?

Verify that the Social Security number and birth date information entered are correct. All account holders need to use a unique email address to set up an account online. For example, if your spouse has an online account already set up with Santander Consumer using, then you will not be able to use that email address to set up a new online account.
