What happened to Alphera?

Alphera Financial Services recently reached an agreement with Santander Consumer USA, one of the nation’s largest third-party servicers of vehicle retail installment contracts (auto financing), to service your account effective April 16, 2018.

What are my next steps?

In most cases you won’t need to do anything except change where you send your payment. See our payment options. You will receive a letter with a new account number before your account is converted to a Santander Consumer USA account.

For customers using Bill Pay through your bank, you’ll need to cancel your existing Bill Pay schedule that is set to send payments to Alphera. Then, create a new Bill Pay schedule to send payments to Santander Consumer USA.

For customers using Alphera’s EasyPay, your existing Auto Pay schedule will cancel after the last servicing day at Alphera, and you will need to set up a new Auto Pay schedule at Santander Consumer USA by signing in at MyAccount.

Is Santander Consumer USA financing my loan?

Santander Consumer USA is now servicing your existing retail installment contract and can help you with any questions you have or assistance you need regarding your contract.

I had automatic payments set up with Alphera. Will those continue?

We do offer automatic payments, but, unfortunately, you will have to set this up again. Sign into MyAccount and you’ll be able to easily set up Auto Pay.

I recently paid off my loan with Alphera. When will I get my title?

You’ll need to speak to one of our customer service representatives about your title. The Title Department can be reached directly at (800) 526-0157, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Central Time.

I tried signing up for MyAccount, but it didn’t recognize my account number. How can I pay online?

If you are unable to sign into your account, you will need to contact us via phone to look into the issue for you. Please call us at 888.222.4227, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Central Time, or Saturday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Central Time, and let us know you are an Alphera customer trying to sign into MyAccount.

I recently sent Alphera my payment. Will Santander Consumer USA receive that payment?

Payments received by Alphera during the servicing transition will be forwarded to Santander Consumer USA and will be effective as of the date received by Alphera.
